GENDER RESEARCH & ADVOCACY PROJECT

GR&AP regularly uses radio as a means of outreach. GR&AP has a weekly slot on the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) National Radio programme Young and Cool (Thursdays 2.30-3pm) and on the commercial radio station Fresh FM (Tuesdays midday). GR&AP also pre-records shows for the NBC National Radio show Your Rights Right Now which is broadcast the following Wednesday evening. We also speak on many other radio station on request.

GR&AP is in the process of drafting and recording radio shows in English and various indigenous languages. The CDs of these shows are then distributed to radio stations. The intention is to allow radio show presenters to air material as and when they need. The pre-recorded shows allow us to provide material to radio stations throughout Namibia.
