HIV AND AIDS & HUMAN RIGHTS
Project Objectives/Focus Area: The adoption and implementation of policies and creation of legal framework that promotes and ensures human rights based response to HIV and AIDS in Namibia.
Activities:

Policy formatulation and law reform.
- Litigation and legal advice.
- Education and training.
- Development of information, education and communication materials on civil and socio-economic rights.

REDUCING STIGMA & DISCRIMINATION RELATED TO HIV AND AIDS
Project Objectives/Focus Area:
Empowering support groups members to respond effectively to HIV and AIDS through human rights based approach
Activities:
- Education and awareness creation on the rights of support group members.

Provide avenue for remedies for support group members.

Formulate and draft policies to address stigma and discrimination.

Advocacy on behalf of support group members.

HIV AND AIDS IN THE WORKPLACE
Project Objectives/Focus Area:
Mitigating the impact of HIV and AIDS in the workplace through human rights based approach by promoting non-discriminatory and enabling environment.
Activities:
- Development of HIV and AIDS workplace policies.
- Training of managers, trade unionist, peer educators.
- Litigation for employees who are stigmatized and discriminated on the basis of their HIV status.
- Development of audio-visual and IEC materials.

YELALA-/UKHAI PROJECT
Project Objectives/Focus Area:
Capacitating Community Response to HIV and AIDS in Namibia
Activities:
- Providing legal advice and litigation service.
- Training of community information coordinators.
- Providing legal support to People Living with HIV and AIDS support groups, home base care and OVC support.
