The Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare and the Ministry of Youth, National Service, Sport and Culture in collaboration with Legal Assistance Centre and with the support of UNICEF is conducting research on why baby dumping is such a problem in Namibia and how the government can address it.

The research will be conducted in a new and interesting way – a national questionnaire that will be available on The Namibian and Die Republikein newspapers. The first set of questions will be available on Thursday 26 May.

The public will be asked to respond to the questionnaire by sms. As an incentive to complete the questionnaire, valid entries (ones that are in the correct format) will be entered into a draw to win N$30.
