The Law Reform and Development Commission and the Legal Assistance Centre are pleased to
announce that the 2010 Namlex Update is now available on the LAC website
March 2011: The update includes the following information up to 30 June 2010:
• laws and regulations through Government Gazette 4513 (30 June 2010)
• cases in the Namibian Law Reports through 2009
• multilateral treaties signed or ratified as of 31 May 2010.
The goal of Namlex is to make the law more accessible to the public. Its starting point was the Index
to the Laws of Namibia published by the NAMLAW Project under the direction of the late Advocate
ATEA Lubowski in 1997. The project continues under the auspices of the Legal Assistance Centre
up to the present day. The 2010 update, which is the 10th update to the index since its original
publication, was funded in part by the Law Reform and Development Commission.
Please note that the Legal Assistance Centre no longer publishes
printed copies of the updates because of the costs involved.
