Biographies
Toni Hancox
Director
Toni was appointed the Co-ordinator of the Human Rights and Constitutional Unit in August 2000 after she worked in private practice and for the government attorneys while qualifying via correspondence studies. Toni is also admitted as a solicitor in England and is a qualified conveyancer. In 2010, Toni was appointed the Director of the Legal Assistance Centre. Toni is currently on the Council of the Law Society in Namibia and is studying for her Masters through UNISA.
Dortea Ithikwa
Finance Manager
Dortea Ithikwa has a B.tech Degree in accounting and finance from the Polytechnic of Namibia. She also worked as a Finance Manager at Church Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) before taking over as Finance Manager of LAC in September 2009.
Joy Bartlett
Receptionist
Joy has been a receptionist/secretary at LAC since 1991.
Vasisee Kuvare
Accountant
Vasisee joined the LAC in August 2009 after having being a programme manager for BEN Namibia. She has an accounting Degree with the University of Namibia and she also did a programme in project management with the University of Stellenbosch.
Romy Noeske
Librarian and IT Admin
Romy has finished her Library and Information Science degree in Stellenbosch, worked at Public libraries and the NBC. Widened her expertise as Section Head at Mutual and Federal Insurance Company before joining the LAC in 1998.
